Copernic Desktop Search wins CNET Editor's Choice

Copernic - Press Release

CDS is my current search tool of choice. Realize that I have tried Google DS, X1, FileHand, SixDegrees (now called Clarity), Enfish and probably some I've forgotten, and I still use LookOut inside Outlook.

Things I've learned

- the interface matters - I find that I get more info from the windowed models (CDS, X1) than the browser interfaces (Google, FileHand)

- sophisticated Boolean searching is a must - what I would like is operators like A is "close to" B in which close to means within X words - no one is really there yet

- integration with Outlook is critical - I live in Outlook, and in some cases use it as my filing system for documents, so finding files/content in Outlook attachements is necessary

So, my 'search' for the perfect tool continues ...
